I’m Andrew Sharp and I’m a writer and podcaster living in Washington D.C. My career began in sports journalism at SB Nation and Vox Media, continued at Grantland and ESPN, and then led to Sports Illustrated, where I covered the NBA as a senior writer for four years.

After attending Georgetown Law School during my time at Sports Illustrated, and practicing law for two years in Washington, I returned to journalism in 2022 when I joined Stratechery to host Sharp Tech with Ben Thompson. Shortly thereafter, we launched Sharp China with Sinocism’s Bill Bishop, and then eventually brought Greatest of All Talk, an NBA show with the Washington Post’s Ben Golliver, to the Stratechery family, as well. Each of those shows publishes every week, all year round, and is available to all Stratechery subscribers.

Sharp Text is an extension of each of those podcasts, where I will write about basketball, technology, and US-China relations with weekly posts.
